Message From Judy
The spirit of these Games has been motivating. It’s not just the sporting accolades that are memorable it is also the fellowship that is obvious amongst competitors, sports and volunteers.
Competitors ranged from 20 - 94 years of age, again proving that age is no barrier to participation. The majority of competitors were aged over 45 years and 486 competitors aged 70 plus. Three quarters of the competitors came from outside of the region and 180 plus were international visitors.
It's been a privilege to host my first New Zealand Masters Games and I have thoroughly enjoyed it all. We are already working on ideas to make next time all that much better, so keep a eye out for developments as they come to hand.
To our many sponsors, supporters and volunteers; thank you for your efforts in making this such a fantastic event.
Once the review progress of this year's Games has been completed, the dates for 2017 will be confirmed.
We look forward to seeing you all again!
CEO
