Issue 04 - Dec 2013

Welcome

Christmas Trees are being decorated and bells are ringing – its Christmas time!

It is time to relax and unwind with friends and family and indulge in some yummy festive food. The Games Team would like to send out their best wishes for you and your families over the Christmas period.

It’s not easy at this time of year to keep up the fitness but do try and keep your training on track and grab a handful of fresh strawberries instead of that bowl of ambrosia! By the time you are having your last mouthful of bubbles on New Year’s Eve; there will be less than a month to go until the games begin. We cannot wait to unlock the gates and have you all come and join us for the fun.

Keep safe over the Christmas period, see you all in 2014!

Volunteers

Lynda Sinclair & Carl Sinclair-Walker help recycle medals.

We have been very lucky to already have our volunteers dedicating their time to the Games. Our team of volunteers have been busy with processing hundreds of entries, blasting the region with promotional activity, data entry and taking up training to fulfil each individual role on games week.

It is fabulous to have so many willing hands on board and we are very grateful for their support.

We are still open to volunteer support, if you would like to come and be a part of the team please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Matt McFadyen on volunteers@nzmg.com
